Tis’ the season to slay the holidays! December is such a busy month for us, isn’t it? We have presents to buy for family and friends. Preparing the menu for Christmas dinner, holiday photo shoots with the family, the trimming of the tree and the décor of your home to get everyone in the holiday spirit! I repeat December is a busy month for us ladies. With the full to do list you have to complete, did you figure out what you were wearing to the many holiday parties or how to “zhu-zhu” your palace this holiday season? No? Never fear! I got you covered with the fab trends for the Holiday season.

Color Schemes: Teal
A favorite color trend this season is Teal. The bold, vibrant color is an eye catcher anywhere it’s placed. This is a great color to use to decorate your home; you can have a lot of fun with it. Nothing says “Winter Wonderland” than Teal added into the family of turquoise, baby blue and tiffany blue. The color scheme will be one your family will talk about for years!

Christmas Trees
Honestly, I am not a fan of trees, I dislike picking them out, lugging them into my home and then trying to pick a spot that has room for it along with the presents that will be around it come Christmas morning. Don’t get me started on the aftermath of taking the same tree and lugging it out to the curb for the trash men. If you agree, then this Christmas trend is for you, which will be made out of tulle fabric! The significant part of this tree is that it’s light and it won’t take long to implement in your décor. So now lugging in and out the house this year, just lightly fold and store until you’re ready to use for your next project.

I am a huge DIY fan; I do struggle and take some L’s with my projects, but I feel so excited when it takes a turn for the best! One project that I’m working on this season is centerpieces. I love A.C. Moore, Michael’s and the Dollar Store, they’re the best arts and craft store EVER. You can definitely find your holiday décor at these places. The centerpieces that I’m working on are called “Words for the Holidays” I am purchasing wood letters and painting them metallic gold. The words that I’m using are Joy, Love, and Peace. With the words, I am decorating them with reefs, and holiday lights. A second idea that I am using is one I found on Pinterest, is using vases (which can be purchased at the dollar store) and getting letter stickers to place on them and use them as water candles, or setting ornaments in them, or flowers that represent Christmas. The theme is festive yet not too much that you can’t reuse them for another project. Get creative with your tablescape think of your overall color scheme and imagine all the ideas that you can do in your house for the holidays. Your pockets will thank you!

What To Wear

Tis’ the Sequin!
Nothing screams Deck the halls like sequin! This is a classic piece that you can never have enough of. Add a little sequin to your outfit, and you are sure to leave an impression stamped on everyone at the party!

Merry Velvet
Velvet is another trend that will always be popular for this season. It’s a bit tricky to pair with because it’s such a bold piece to wear. Keep accessories at a minimal with your outfit. The focal point is your wardrobe, let it speak for itself!

Hipster Holiday!
The hem crop frill pants are a major trend this year, Ciara was spotted on Instagram rocking a pair. They are both flattering on both slim and curvy women. We love these pants mostly because of their versatility. Try these with flats or stilettos, and you’ll be a knockout!
