What a chic experience I had at the Continental Mid-town. Located in my hometown of Philadelphia. I consider it a gem. It’s one of several restaurants owned by Stephen Starr. He has yet to disappoint me. It’s the offspring of his original Continental located in the Old City section of Philadelphia. I can now say I’ve been to both and Midtown wins in my book. Continental Midtown in one word ‘Eclectic.’

Starting with the decor- swinging chairs, glitzy chandeliers, plush animal shaped chairs in the lounge and a rooftop deck. Fab! The atmosphere was amazing service was friendly, and the food was as eclectic as the decor. I dined on Szechuan shoestring fries drizzled with Chinese mustard [yum], barbecue chicken quesadillas with avocado sour cream and the perfect compliment to my meal a Champagne – O – Rama. A mixture of Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka and sparkling wine served in a grenadine sugar-rimmed champagne flute. Oh, so Chic!

I’m a dessert girl. That would explain why I’m so sweet. I know so corny… right? LOL! It’s my favorite part of the meal. Dinner isn’t complete without dessert… Now is it? Mid-town did not disappoint, kudos to the pastry chef. The pineapple cake was heavenly accompanied by a caramel sauce and coconut ice-cream. Delish!

It’s a win in the Ayesha Foodie Book when it comes to the four things, I look for when dining out Decor, Ambience, Customer Service, and of course, Food!

Two thumbs up for the Continental Mid-town! If you live in Philadelphia or visiting, I recommend checking out the Continental Midtown for a chic ole time!
