Beyonce is Launching an Active-wear Line with Topshop

Bey is partnering with Topshop for an active- wear line featuring clothing, footwear and accessories across dance, fitness and sports categories. Mrs. Carter and Topshop have created an entirely new company for the line, Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd., which is equally owned by Beyonce and the retailer.

Bey says, I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business. I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward thinking.

The Fall/Winter 2014 collection hits stores and online on Halloween and includes menswear, womenswear, shoes and accessories. The pieces are made of leather and mesh. Inspired by everything from hip hop to classical music. The aesthetic ranges from edgy to sexy to glamorous. Scott added bondage elements to the collection with a leather top that could double as a harness.

Carol’s Daughter Founder Lisa Price Responds to Criticism About L’Oreal Acquisition

Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price recently announced that L’Oreal USA purchased the brand with the goal to reach a multicultural consumer base. The reaction has been mixed with fans sharing their excitement for CD’s next chapter. While other question whether or not the brand’s integrity will be compromised.

Lisa says, people who have a more negative view–who are angry, who are outraged–I’m not sure how many of them are actually our loyal customers. I made choices and decisions that I thought was best for the brand. The brand still has my mother’s name on it. I still feel a responsibility to her and to my family. So I’m not going to make a decision that I feel is compromising her name or my integrity.

Tilda Swinton Named New Face of NARS

NARS has tapped Tilda Swinton as the latest spokes-beauty. The gorgeous actress will appear in four ads, lensed by Francois Nars. Tilda will front the brands “Eye Opening Act” collection, which ranges from $28 to $48.

Nasty Gal for MAC Cosmetics

Nasty Gal creator Sophia Amoruso has teamed up with the cosmetics brand to create this high intensity collection of lipsticks and nail polish.

The collection will be available for purchase 12/4 at select MAC locations and maccosmetics.com. The lipsticks are $16.00 each and the nail polish is $14.00
